As the official state affiliate of the National Rifle Association Georgia Sport Shooting Association (GSSA) exists to support, defend and further the fundamental right of individual citizens to keep and bear arms. GSSA believes that government must not infringe on the fundamental right of individual citizens to choose to keep and bear arms for a variety of reasons; including hunting, collecting, competitive shooting, recreation, Historical Renactment and personal protection. GSSA acts in defense, support and furtherance of this belief.

We offer diverse programs focused on developing young talent and preserving competitive shooting within the state. Our members have unique opportunities, such as participating in NRA State and Regional matches, making purchases through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), and contributing to the growth of a dynamic shooting sports community in Georgia. We also advocate for the Second Amendment rights of gun owners in Georgia and educate about responsible gun ownership.
